3D Modeling: Exercise 4

EXERCISE 4: MODELING A KARAMBIT


Tools: boolean (difference), extrude faces, inset faces, loop cut

Used shape: Cylinder 

Output: Karambit

In this exercise we are given a karambit as a reference image to build. 
Steps to build the karambit: 
1. insert a plane mesh and scale with the reference image (build from the knife handle)
2. The width of the blade becomes smaller with the tip of the knife
3. extrude the faces of the knife
4. scale down the side faces to make the knife blade
5. inset and extrude the faces to make the knife handle
6. add a cylinder and inset the faces to make a ring 
7. delete the centre part to make a hole
8. drag to join the two parts of the knife
9. adding details on the knife body
10. add materials to the knife
