Bachelor of Information TechnologyAt first, I figure out the environment and background that I wanted to have for my project 1 is Cities + Transport + Exterior Atmosphere and I send it to ChatGPT for a complete storyline.
Storyline:
**Audio Soundscape Project: Jetty + Cruise + Interior Atmosphere**
Scene 1: State of the Dock
[As the sun kisses the horizon, you find yourself at the bustling jetty, a world of anticipation and adventure. The audio landscape begins with the distant cry of seagulls, their wings slicing through the air as they dive for fish. The relentless rhythm of ocean waves crashing against the wooden pier provides the backdrop to the ever-present crowd noise. Laughter, conversations, and the excited hum of passengers fill the air.
Suddenly, a commanding cruise horn pierces through the ambient sounds, alerting everyone to the imminent departure. The low, rumbling engine of the massive ship reverberates through the dock, hinting at the powerful journey ahead.]
Scene 2: Ship to Shore
[You step onto the ship and the atmosphere changes. Metal clinks underfoot as you navigate the gangway. The ship's door opens with a hydraulic hiss, giving way to the wooden planks of the ship's interior. Wooden footsteps echo in the confined space as passengers disembark, their movements creating a symphony of anticipation.
The shouts of the crew members fill the air as they bark orders, guiding passengers and ensuring the ship is ready to set sail. These assertive vocal commands contrast the subdued sounds of luggage being set down and shuffled about.]
Scene 3: Boarding the Ship
[Inside the ship, the engine's deep hum remains ever-present, reminding you of the mechanical heart that propels this vessel. The soundscape is soon filled with the rolling of suitcases, excited chatter, and the occasional laughter of families setting the mood for the adventure ahead.
A ticket inspector engages in a short conversation with a passenger, their voices creating a brief yet intimate exchange. You hear muffled voices emanating from the nearby cabins as passengers prepare for their journey. The soft clatter of baggage handling equipment further emphasizes the bustling ambiance.]
Scene 4: Check-in to the Cabin Room
[You make your way to your cabin, leaving the bustling communal area behind. The constant engine sound provides a reassuring backdrop, its rhythm like a heartbeat. Wooden footsteps transition to a softer, carpeted surface as you approach the cabin area.
The soft chime of the elevator signals your ascent, and the cabin door stands before you, silent and expectant. The metallic swish of a keycard sliding into place is your ticket to sanctuary. With a satisfying electronic tone, the door opens, and you step into your private haven, leaving the world behind and embarking on a unique journey.]

Execution:
All of the sound track for my project 1 are found on free sounds library, pixabay, and free sound. First of all, I created a new multitrack for my project in Adobe Audition. Before I add in all my sound tracks, I created a new bus for each of my scene and named each bus as the scene number. After that, I arranged all of my sound files accordingly to each of the created buses (scene).

I uses a lot of bus track because it will make me more easier to edit the sound track in a particular scene later.
After adding in all the sound files and arranged with my story line, I try to listen to every single sound track and find a suitable effects for them to make the atmosphere of my story more vividly. For example, I want to create the ambient inside the cruise cabin, so I added a scientific filter under EQ effects and increased the high cutoff to make it sounds muffled.

Later that, I try to setup the volume and pan envelopes of each sound track to make my story more fantastic with the volume increased and decreased in a specific point and the sound loop from left ear to right ear.

Finally, I shifted to the mixer panel to review my project once more and adjust the volume and configuration of each scene and sound track to ensure that everything was going according to plan.
